Founded in 2017 by brothers Juan José and José Maria Xacur, Grupo Ikigai redefines the hospitality experience through its unparalleled product and service.

Known for it’s signature Japanese,Italian and Mediterranean concepts, Grupo Ikigai offers a new vision in global cuisine, bringing its customers closer to a culinary journey as the immerse themselves in different flavors and experience the freshest and highest quality products from around the world.

“Iki” in Japanese means life and “gai” describes value. Your Ikigai is your purpose of life or your happiness.

Fresh pasta

The Italian and Mediterranean side of Grupo Ikigai, has an innovative gastronomy proposal of traditional Italian food seen in Ornella, Mattea & Osteria Mattea and Aegean Cuisine seen in Ennèa executed by Chef Axel Vázquez, which makes you fall in love in every way.

The gastronomic offer of Axel Vázquez is inspired by traditional Italian food, its homemade pastas and pizzas transports you to the north and south of the Italian peninsula, and are made with the best ingredients and quality.

The project is headed by chef Axel Vázquez who throughout his career has worked aside Michelin star Alfredo Russo, from whom he inherited his passion and respect for Italian gastronomic traditions, in addition to appreciating the techniques of confection and elaboration of fresh pasta.

Grupo Ikigai seeks to become the spot that diners choose to feel relaxed, where they can enjoy excellent Italian food that transports them to another continent without leaving town.
